Le Auction House’s 20th Century Vietnamese Art Journey

The works are on display from October 27 to November 10 at the address: 1st floor Aqua Central, 11 Yen Phu, Ba Dinh, Ha Noi before auction session 03 “Vietnamese Art of the 20th Century” at 17:2 p.m. on November 11.

Le Auction House continues to focus on the quality and diversity of the artifacts. Accordingly, returning to the dawn of the 20th century – the time when many French artists came to Vietnam, the auction selected works by names such as Joseph Inguimberty, Alix Aymé, Jean Louis Paguenaud, André Maire, Claude Lemaire, …

Until the Indochina College of Fine Arts was established, the generation of students of the school made continuous efforts to leave a strong impression on international friends. In particular, indispensable in each important auction were works from the famous quartet “Pho – Thu – Luu – Dam” alongside other prominent painters such as Nguyen Gia Tri, Le Quoc Loc, Hoang Tich Chu, Nguyen Huyen, Do Dinh Hiep, Tran Phuc Duyen, Pham Thuc Chuong, Trinh Huu Ngoc, Nguyen Tu Nghiem, Duong Bich Lien, Bui Xuan Phai, …

Following the flow of art history, the public has access to the works of students from the Resistance Course such as Tran Luu Hau, Le Huy Hoa, Luu Cong Nhan, Nguyen Trong Kiem, Tran Dong Luong, Mai Long, Linh Chi, etc.

Moving to the central-south region, the auction featured works by artists Ton That Dao, Ton That Van, Le Ba Dang, along with creations by Tu Duyen, Nguyen Khai, Ho Huu Thu, Tran Van Ha, Le Thy, and many other prominent names.

The appearance of contemporary Vietnamese works is also carefully selected by Le Auction House to introduce to connoisseurs. As a continuation of the development of the country’s fine arts, the works of Bui Tuan Thanh, Dang Xuan Hoa, Dinh Quan, Pham Ha Hai, Doan Xuan Tang, Bui Van Tuat, Vu Quang Hung, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, … continue to bring their own unique harmonies.

With Le Auction House, the works presented are diverse not only in each important period of Vietnamese art history but also select creations from all three regions of North – Central – South with estimated prices that are suitable and accessible to many groups of collectors.

Through this, Le Auction House hopes to cooperate with many other outstanding artists as well as collectors that Le Auction House has not yet approached and contribute to diversifying art collection in Vietnam.
