It’s Art Fair season in Michigan’s Great Southwest… starting this weekend in South Haven with one of the ‘biggies’ on the region’s art fair circuit.

Saturday, July 6, 10am – 5pm
Sunday, July 7, 10am – 4pm

Founded 66 years ago, the South Haven Art Fair in Stanley Johnston Park is a free event for the whole family.   You can view and purchase art from 120 artists coming in from near and far, including painters, jewelers, ceramicists, sculptors, fiber, wood, class artists and a variety of others.

Among the highlights, according to organizers,  will be caricature artists, a henna artist, and an opportunity to create your own glass ornament.   The South Haven Center for the Arts will provide hands-on art activities for the whole family.

Food vendors onsite include pizza, coffee, bbq, lemonade, nuts, kettle corn, candy and hotdogs.

Importantly, a parking shuttle will be provided from Baseline Middle School on the city’s north edge to Stanley Johnston Park running through the hours of the fair.  The shuttle is ‘accessible’ and can accommodate up to two wheelchairs at a time.
