August 25, 20241 Mins Read

A quiet week coming up in the salerooms, but here’s what I’ll be watching:

On Monday, August 26, in the Winter Associates sale of Important Estate Offerings there are a handful of interesting book lots, including five volumes with fore-edge paintings ($800–1,200) as well as quite a few other lots containing volumes with fore-edge paintings; a copy of the large paper issue of the 1909 edition of Charles and Mary Lamb’s Tales from Shakespeare illustrated by Arthur Rackham and bound by Chivers ($1,200–1,600). There are also a handful of group lots of Limited Editions Club publications.

Thomson Roddick Callan sells 221 lots of Antiquarian and Collectable Books and Related Items on Thursday, August 29, in Carlisle, Cumbria.

At Quinn’s Auction Galleries on Thursday, 164 lots in a Shelf Lot Book Auction, sold without reserve.
