Lucknow: An art exhibition to mark the 70th foundation day of Lalit Kala Akademi was inaugurated on Monday.
The exhibition at the regional centre in Aliganj will remain open to the public till Aug 7 from 10pm to 7pm daily.
Paintings of 20 artists from the permanent collection of the Akademi are on display.
Artist and visitor, Poonam Nagu, said, “Detailed work has been done in the paintings and wonderful colour schemes have been used”.
Director, Lalit Kala Akademi, Devendra Kumar Tripathi said, “Paintings are from our permanent collection made by eminent artists. We wanted people to see artworks.”
Noted artists Umesh Kumar Saxena and Mohd Shakeel graced the occasion as chief guests. TNN
