Parshas Studio~ Special Edition: Pesach – Chag Ha’aviv Painting

Hi Boys and Girls!

Welcome back to the Parsha Studio!

This week, we celebrate the special Yom Tov of Pesach. Pesach, is known by four different names:

1. Chag Hamatzos, the festival of Matzos.

2. Zman Cheruseinu, the time of our freedom, as we celebrate our liberation from Mitzrayim.

3. Chag Ha-Pesach, the festival of Passover. This name reminds us that Hashem passed over the Jewish houses and only took the lives of the non-Jewish firstborns.

4. Chag Ha-aviv, the springtime festival.

Today, we will learn about the name Chag Ha-Aviv, the springtime festival, as Pesach is celebrated during the season of spring. Today, we will use an interesting Q-tip technique and paint a stunning springtime view on a canvas. We will use Q-tips, paintbrushes, and a range of vibrant spring-colored paints to create the lilac masterpiece.
