Art lovers can choose from 60 artist studios to visit on the weekend of September 21-22. On Saturday Sept. 21, South Arlington studios will open; on Sunday Sept. 22, North Arlington studios will open. AVAST is a free, annual open studio event held throughout Arlington County, Virginia. The Tour will offer a free guide to what’s on view where, so that anyone can meet the artists in their maker spaces and see examples of their work.

Visitors will see all kinds of painting, plus assemblage, collage, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, weaving and fiber, drawing, paper cutting, glass, metalwork, calligraphy, furniture and jewelry.
