NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Cheekwood celebrated Black artists on Saturday with the Black Arts Bash.

The event aims to celebrate Black artists within music, dance and visual arts.

Event organizers say they also want to let everyone know Cheekwood is open to everyone and is for everyone.

They say they want to be a part of bringing people together and experiencing new and diverse cultures.

Artists from the Black Opry were there performing along with many other musical guests.

“We have a lot of different artists, that’s high school, college and established artists exhibition,” Nathalie Lavine, Cheekwood Vice President of Education and Outreach, said.

Representatives from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum were also on hand to teach guests how to play the harmonica.
