Chima Victor Foundation’s Award: How Daniel Emerged Winner, Best Student in Visual Arts

It was double celebration for Umoh Ibukun-Oluwa Daniel one of the graduating students of Dansol High School, Ikeja, as he emerged winner of the second edition of the prestigious Chima Victor Foundation’s Award for Best Student in Visual Arts (senior category). Daniel had earlier emerged as the overall best student in Visual Arts among the graduating students of the school. His outstanding performance earned him the Chima Victor Foundation’s Award for Best Student in Visual Arts.

The award was presented to Daniel by Pastor (Mrs) Chizoba Nnaekpe at a colourful reception which was part of Dansol High School, Ikeja, 28 Valedictory Thanksgiving Service, held last Saturday in the school auditorium.

This year’s award in the was won by Daniel Ibukunoluwa Umoh. Sponsored by the Chima Victor Foundation for Budding Artists established in memory of Mr Chima Victor Nnaekpe, a promising young artist and Economics graduate of Covenant University who died in a motor accident in 2020. The award is designed to discover and support budding artists in Nigeria schools. As part of this year’s award, the foundation will also support an art exhibition of secondary school students later in the year. The winners of last year’s award were Miss Pearl Evans-Akere, in the senior category and Miss Ayomode Omobolanle Akanji in the junior category.
