  • Permanent part-time role – 21 hours per week.

As we transform and expand Newcastle Art Gallery, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Digital Programs Officer to join the team.

As a member of Art Gallery’s expanded Audience Team, the Digital Programs Officer will contribute to the development and delivery of high-quality digital content and engagement strategies that contribute to the Art Gallery’s reputation as a leader in the region.

Under the direction of the Audience Lead, this position will be responsible for the delivery of digital programming including the development and commissioning of video, audio and online resources. The Digital Programs Officer will also coordinate the creation and scheduling the Gallery’s social media channels and e-communications, ensuring high quality, dynamic, timely content is posted across the Gallery’s online platforms.

Additionally, this role will contribute to the development of promotional strategies and collateral (digital and hardcopy) to support the promotion of the Gallery to diverse local and national audiences.

This role requires highly developed project management skills, and an understanding of the ever-changing digital landscape. This role would suit an individual with experience delivering digital content, a strong eye for detail, and highly developed visual communication skills.

The Digital Programs Officer will work collaboratively across the Gallery team, as well as with external partners, communities and audiences to co-develop, promote and deliver digital programming and engagement strategies that support the Gallery’s ambitious artistic program and activates local and national engagement.
