The arts in Charleston overflow with captivating concepts, dynamic productions and heartfelt explorations, whether performed on a stage or encapsulated in an exhibit.

Visit Hed Hi Studio for an off-the-beaten-path visual arts experience and Okeeba Jubalo Gallery to view and collect fine African American art. The annual Art of Jazz series at the Gibbes invites a meaningful conversation about how artistic mediums interplay, while First Friday ArtWalks reveals the hidden treasures of more than 40 downtown galleries.

For fashion lovers, the Gullah Gala and events by ECO Runways offer immersive, inclusive fashion show experiences with red carpet glitz, reflecting Charleston’s multicultural character.

Exciting performance seasons spring up every year from diverse organizations such as Charleston Gaillard Center, New Muse Concerts, Holy City Arts & Lyric Opera, Charleston Symphony, Colour of Music Festival, Charleston POPS! and Summerville Orchestra.
