Do you see what I see?
IAVA artists share their unique ways of seeing.
What is it you see? How do you see this, and how do you portray your narrative visually? The artist is forever challenged by ‘what’ and ‘how’.
Welcome to the world of art where you, the audience, are able to see and engage with a breadth of representation, inspiration gleaned from historical and contemporary times… it is the art of now!
The latest exhibition by Illawarra Association for The Visual Arts (IAVA), ‘Ways of Seeing’ brings together twenty-one local artists celebrating creativity, at Project Contemporary Artspace.
Since its inception in 2010, IAVA members have created a wealth of artworks displayed across the Illawarra region and beyond. Our first exhibition at Project Contemporary Artspace was in 2011. So, 14 years later many original members plus newer members are here to share their love of their art practice.
Painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, sculpture, photography and multimedia are practices that engage these artists. Don’t miss this opportunity to see these dynamic works by Illawarra artists, who are always proud to share ideas that stimulate the audience and create a conversation.
Come along and share their visions, delve into their world and be taken on a journey of ‘seeing.
